Well, actually it is.
I found this old cricket card game in charity shop shop at the weekend, and couldn’t resist.
I have lots of cricket fans in my family, so thought that they would make great cards, but hubby thinks we should do “something more” with them, but has failed to come up with any ingenious ideas.
So I am hoping that you lost, my creative, thrifty, crafty, ingenious readers, will have some ideas!
Frame in groups of four cards to make a picture, decorate a note book and use the cards as part of the decoration. Or just make cards with them, they would be fab for cards.
Thanks Karen, great ideas!
But before you DO anything with them you must play the game!
I think the instructions are on the back. We will give it a go!
What a great find! Maybe make some rectangular pen pots and cover sides with the cards ‘a la Blue Peter’ Hopefully the cricket loving members of your family would love them as a birthday or Xmas present.
Great idea Sue, Thankyou!
A storyboard!! 🙂
Oh yes! Fab idea 🙂
Ooh, that looks fab! What size are the cards? They would look great framed in groups or perhaps singly.
Might have to commission you. Ian’s birthday is in October…
Happy to oblige! Give me a shout 🙂
Will go on the hunt for frames..!
Yes please! Maybe three in a group? Can I choose which cards?
No problem, give me a shout!
Stick three together just at the sides to make a hanging decoration. Punch holes in the top and bottom to string a chain together for a window or wall. Photocopy onto transfer material (blow up to preferred size) and decorate t shirts bags or cushions. Find or acquire an old cricket bat and glue a set on for a unique and interesting wall decoration. Use 2 together as a card holder for a man’s pocket. Scan and print out at various sizes for dividers in a file or filofax. Preserve one in resin with a felt backing as a paperweight.
No, I have no idea what you could do with them. ;0)
Wowzers! Fabulous, Thankyou. I especially love the idea of using an old cricket bat as a frame. Brilliant!
No ideas, but love the cards!
They are fab aren’t they?!
How about using one per page in a small book to crate a storybook for a child?
Great idea. Or even for a cricket loving Big Kid!
