Right then. I have decided that the key to My Make Do and Mend Year is to be organised and to plan ahead. I am ok with the planning, I just struggle somtimes with the actual doing as I can procrastinate with the best of them.. But no more!
So, in the next 6 weeks, I have to find/make presents for:
- a 4th birthday party of the pink variety. Any good homemade little girl pressie ideas?
- several birthdays that just need cards
- my sister in laws 30th-I have already in the past made her an apron and a bag so I need to get my thinking cap on!
- BigSmall’s 4th birthday party-we are thinking pedal bike, so might have to start hitting E-bay/Pre-loved now to try and find what we want
There we go, you see, this planning thing is easy! Now I just need to stop planning and start doing…

What a challenge you have set yourself! I’m looking forward to following your progress throughout the year. I started collecting the ideas during September and the actual making began in October. I see my link was ‘clickable’ after all! That must be a handy WordPress feature 🙂 I’m on the lookout for new ideas now and will be running a similar series soon.

No, I didn’t have that many people on my gift list! I tried to cover all the different groups that friends needed to make for. There are 6 posts in total for gifts, I think, running through to November. l also had one for handmade advent calendars and the last post was gift wrap ideas. All the posts start with ‘Five Things I’m Loving This Friday…’ so should be easy to find. Not my original ideas, but all include links to the source and are properly credited.
