The lovely hubby and I went out for a meal last night. This is in itself newsworthy, as I think it’s the first time we have managed it in over a year! We went to a great place in Bruton, called Matt’s Kitchen-it is in his lounge, in his house-check it out-it was awesome, and the food was delicious. If you are in the area, you NEED to go!
Anyhow, as I was getting ready, I suddenly realised that my whole outfit excluding shoes and underwear cost less than £5 and was all second-hand…
I was wearing:
- my little black dress from my recent charity shop haul
- my freecycle cardi, which I gave a quick re-love with some new buttons, and then managed to shrink by mistake (fortunately it was bit big to start with..) For the full story see my blog at Shouty Cat Makes…
- some beads I ‘re-homed’ from my mother-in-law
Now, I think it all looked pretty good, and as every girl knows, as long as you think you look good, then that’s all that really matters.
But what do you think-shabby/thrifty/retro/funky/finger on the pulse chic, or charity shop tragedy and a step too far…??!
(Sorry but I didn’t get around to taking a picture so you could judge for yourselves. Probably for the best, not sure I’m quite ready for a critique on my less than cutting edge take on fashion…)
